Record group 96-259 consists of the executive files of the Executive Division of the Michigan Department of Natural Resources for the years 1983-1985 (bulk of material dates 1985). Contains the correspondence of Director Ronald O. Skoog, his executive staff, and divisional directors. These records include memoranda, policy statements, and minutes. Documents the major divisions of the Department (e.g. Environmental Enforcement, Parks, Wildlife, and Waterways). Also includes material from the Natural Resources Commission, and records documenting the annual state fair which is held in Detroit.
